Social media is a vastly popular communication tool, however as we have all seen, it is also used by online trolls and for the sharing of criminal material/information. 

 

Capturing the evidence which sits online is often done poorly, with no audit trail, with no way of verifying the content is legitimate and no way of proving who the end user was who posted the material. 

 

It is important to point out that anyone can portray to be anyone else online, however, there are often quite subtle mistakes in the presentation or the attempts to hide their identity that our experts find and present.
